I was challenged to explain why prolife people can be for war that kills some innocents (for the good of the situation and others lives) and not see the parallels in embryonic stem cell research for those whose lives would be protected and health cured. I would love to know your take on this.

The biblical evidence is substantial for both the Arminian and Calvinist positions. John Wesley and Richard Watson were great men of God who took the Arminian position. John Calvin and Charles Spurgeon were great men of God who took the Calvinist position. It is not stupid or immoral or faithless to take either position.

God has a perfect time and place for all of us. He knows and has planned our circumstances, and while human choice is taken into account, God is not bound by the decisions of people.

Author Randy Alcorn is quick to point out that the Bible tells us much more about Heaven than we might realize. We should come to God’s Word with “great eagerness.” If we’re more eager to watch a sitcom or the evening news than to read God’s Word, inevitably our worldview will be more influenced by sitcoms and the evening news than by God. How Can I Prepare Myself to Have a Biblical Worldview in College?

Recently I read The Treasure Principle. I’ve never had much of a problem with giving, so I thought that the book would only serve me by providing encouragement to keep on giving the way I already was. Well, I was wrong!

I believe you are quite correct to say that you are hesitant to “invite darkness” by pursuing a perceived demon. This is an area of spirituality that no one should ever “pursue” out of curiosity.

You are right that it's possible to think too much of what people think and say. What's really important is God's evaluation of our life.
