Resources by Topic: Book Reviews and Recommended Materials

First of all, go to any Christian bookstore and look in the front of books related to the subject you’re writing on and gather names and addresses of the publishers you want to pursue. I suggest you send two or three sample chapters, not the whole book.

I research extensively and love doing it. While what follows isn’t comprehensive, it does contain many of the books I read while working on If God Is Good.

I believe we as Christians need to be good stewards of the resources God has given us. Use it, reuse it, recycle it, and don't abuse what God has given us. 

While on a recent family vacation I pulled out an advance DVD of the first episodes of Phil Vischer’s “What’s in the Bible” (whatsinthebible.com). I asked my five-year-old grandson Matthew Franklin if he wanted to watch something by the guy who created VeggieTales.

Recommended books, booklets, and websites.

I’d recommend a book called Informed Answers to Gay Rights Questions, by Roger Magnuson. I’ve read it and its helpful. Also, a book by R. F. Lovelace, called Homosexuality and the Church.

Read only the best books. Do not neglect books. Do not neglect THE Book.
