I know this for sure—you will not feel left out in Heaven. You see, you won’t be struggling with negative feelings and self-doubt. You will be whole and healthy and will see things through God’s eyes then and not a grid that is riddled with sin and distortion.

I don’t mean to be trite or cute, but after having considered who God is, the answer to this question is “because God didn’t want to.” 

What about the different “dwelling places” believers will have in heaven (Luke 16:4,9)? What about the treasures Christ commanded us to store up “for ourselves” in heaven (Matthew 6:20)? 

It’s true that the ascension is a neglected doctrine. It was considered more important to earlier generations of Christians than it is today.
 One remarkable thing about the ascension is that it affirms Christ’s physical body went into Heaven following his resurrection. This is what the creeds call his “self-same body,” stating that likewise our self-same bodies will be restored in our resurrection.  

I think what Randy is addressing in the article is the inevitable outcome of a philosophy taken to its logical conclusions. 

If you are a believer in Christ, once you leave this life in death or at Christ’s return, you will never suffer from the curse, death or suffering or any disease, including diabetes.

One example would be the problem of evil and suffering that plagues Ollie in my novel Deception. 

The point is where the New Jerusalem is located. It is brought down to the New Earth and is the capital city of the New Earth. 

First Thessalonians 4 says we are to “comfort one another with these words” about being together with the Lord forever. So clearly we will be spending eternity with our loved ones.

“How can anything so good be so bad?” If sex is as good as we portrayed it in the previous chapter, why is it that many sexual acts are condemned in Scripture?

I went to a Bible college and seminary that were both middle of the road where neither hard core Calvinism nor Arminianism often surfaced in class, though on a continuum, some faculty would lean more toward one than the other.
