I had mixed feelings about this movie.

In this clip from the 50 Days of Heaven audiobook, Randy discusses how there will always be more to discover about our God. In his new universe, there will always be more beyond.

A few days ago a friend asked me to meet with her non-Christian family and share the gospel with them.

What we usually think of when we hear “Heaven” is the intermediate state.

It is often difficult to confirm the accuracy of a story, including this one printed in the Christian Digest and cited in a collection of stories assembled by Paul Tan. It wouldn’t surprise me to find it is accurate, but in any case the point of the story is a valid one, and I have seen it illustrated in less dramatic ways in my own life and in the speaking ministries of others.

The reason I don’t address activities about the intermediate state is because there are not a lot of details given to it.

I would agree that our salvation is not based on our works.

The John Piper book When I Don’t Desire God: How to Fight for Joy is good.  Also good is John Piper’s book When the Darkness Does Not Lift, available online from the Desiring God website.

Recommended books on Heaven for children.

A big one is the degree to which explicitly spiritual content can or should be woven into a story.

I’m very pro-Israel, believing that God has a future purpose for the nation and that the U.S. should remain her steadfast ally. That doesn’t mean I believe the current nation of Israel, with its secular government, does everything right, and I think like every nation, including ours, it should be subject to evaluation and criticism.

Parenthood is a calling, far more important than any vocation.
