My husband and I have been studying Samuel and have the following question re: 1 Samuel 28:11-20 We’ve been taught that there are no such thing as ghosts and wandering spirits and that absent from the body means present with the Lord. Why then was this not true with Samuel? This seems to go against that principle.

According to popular thought, where Christians go when they die is the same place they will spend eternity. But that’s not what Scripture says.
