Many of us look forward to talking to Lazarus in Heaven and hearing his firsthand account of what it was like to be resurrected! However, it’s notable that those accounts, if Lazarus and others gave them, are not included in Scripture. 

Since the scenario you are envisioning did not happen, we have no biblical basis for an answer. Your question also implies that the world, as it is now, is a sort of Plan B. It’s easy to think that because we know God hates sin and yet, because we know He is both sovereign and omniscient, there is no other way for the world to be right now.

While Randy believes that it is quite possible that God allows believers in Heaven to see us at least sometimes, and for sure they have a front-row seat to what God is doing on Earth, it is helpful to remember that Scripture’s focus is on how God sees our lives, and ultimately, we want to please Him. 

The central fact is that the resurrection will happen, and we will live forever with Jesus on the New Earth. That’s good news and should unite us all in our theology!
