It’s certainly possible that there will be farms and farmers to care for crops. In Genesis 1:28 God tells His people to fill and govern the earth. Good farming practices certainly fall within the scope of careful stewardship and will very likely be welcome on the New Earth.

We’re told that we are aliens and strangers in this world, and should be longing for a better country (Hebrews 11:13-16). However, that better country isn’t up in the clouds—it’s down on the New Earth.

In this clip, Randy says, “Resurrected people living on a resurrected earth, for all eternity with the resurrected Jesus—what we will enjoy together is so far beyond this life. That is where an eternal perspective comes in as it relates to our PRESENT happiness; because we front load the realities of eternity into our life today.”

I am listening to Heaven on audio. While listening to the chapter on animals, I started to think about my strong distaste for snakes. I often use the word "hate" when talking about them.
