Perhaps those who love children but never had any of their own on the old earth will have the privilege of helping raise children on the New Earth. We do know that what God has for us in eternity will be wonderful beyond comprehension!

One of our church’s Sunday school teachers recently died. We would like to get some resources (book recommendations/links to helpful information) to the parents in our church to help navigate discussions, prayer time, grief, etc. What resources do you recommend?

I’m excited that my children’s book Wait Until Then is once again available, reprinted by our ministry. It’s been almost 17 years since it was first published, but the story is timeless—it is just as applicable now as it was then.

Tell your children and grandchildren what God has done for you, and not only will it make a difference for them, one day when your mind is frail, it might come back to you from them, and make a difference for you! 

One of the greatest gifts we can give our children is freedom from materialism. How? By teaching them to be generous givers who know everything belongs not to them, but to God.

A friend asked me for some recommendations for resources on teaching the Bible to children. I researched and found some, but also thought I would include some resources for kids to read and discuss with their parents.

This is a sobering and important article from The Gospel Coalition’s Joe Carter, explaining how social media is causing our children to suffer, and encouraging parents to be proactive in protecting their children.

I think this article by Abigail Dodds is wonderful. Having raised two daughters, I’m deeply grateful for our sons-in-law, and their families who raised them to be men of character and faith. And now Angela and Karina are the moms of our five grandsons, who they are raising to know and love Jesus.
