Even though we have fallen, is our spirit renewed when we come to know the Lord? Or is our spirit fallen today and we have to wait to have a resurrected spirit as well as body when see the Lord at the resurrection.

Answer from Randy Alcorn:

On the one hand we are said to have a new man and on the other hand we are said to still be doing battle with sin (Romans 7). Our spirit will not be without sin until we are in the presence of Christ so in that sense even our renewed spirit faces consequences of humanity being under a curse through the temptations to sin and the proneness to sin. So we will not be complete, fully perfected human beings until our sinless spirit is joined to a body no longer under the curse in the resurrection.
