My friend Greg Stier, from Dare to Share, posted this yesterday on X. It has nothing to do with politics. It’s a sober reminder for all of us, every day, to be prepared to stand before the God who says, “Each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment” (Hebrews 9:27, NLT).

Uniqueness and differences existed before sin and will exist after it. Only God has infinite wisdom and knowledge.

All who know Jesus will live together in that resurrected world, with the Lord we love and the friends we cherish. We’ll embark together on the ultimate adventure in a spectacular new universe awaiting our exploration and dominion.

If we are delighted by the anticipation of Heaven—because we know the God who lives there; we know the Carpenter from Nazareth, who’s gone to prepare a place for us—it will radically change us and get hold of us.

In this clip from a Q&A at an illumiNations gathering, Randy talks about how since our best experiences will be on the New Earth, Christians don't need a bucket list mentality. None of us will ever pass our “peaks” on this side of Heaven.

Whether our hearts are heavy or light, whether recent days have brought us joy or sorrow or both, there is something soul stirring about contemplating what God has promised us and what Christ shed His blood and rose to guarantee us—eternal life with Him and His people in a land of never-ending wonder.
